I think men and women aren’t nearly equal in Japan now. Compared with old times, it becomes a good relation because there was no clear sex discrimination now. But there are still some differences of the treatment, for example, condition of employment. Illegal discrimination is bad though it is good that the man and woman have the difference.
Certainly, the man and woman discrimination still remains in Japan. It might be able to be called the equitable society only after it disappears.
ReplyDeleteI have to say in my experience here in Japan men and women are certainly not equal in job status.
ReplyDeleteWomen are payed less than men and I think part of the reason is that companies expect women to quit to have a baby.
Whether they quit or not, paying them less to do the same job is wrong, in my opinion.
